Behind the rooms

Interior Design Services Gold Coast

Thirteen residential services, arranged the way a house is actually lived in. Start with the room that isn’t working, or with the stage your project has reached, whether that’s a renovation, a new build or a finished home that needs styling.

By room

Find a service by the space you live in

Most briefs begin with a single room. Follow the house from the front door to the deck and each stop points to the services that shape it.

Entry & living room

How you arrive, where you sit and how daylight moves through the day. Space Planning sets the flow, Furniture Selection & Styling fills it and Lighting & Finishes carries it into the evening.

Kitchen

Island placement, storage and surfaces decided together. See Kitchen Design, supported by Custom Joinery Design and Colour & Material Selection.

Bathroom & ensuite

Layout, tiling, tapware and ventilation that suit a humid coastal climate. See Bathroom Design and Lighting & Finishes.

Bedroom & outdoor room

Calm layers inside and durable comfort on the deck. See Interior Decoration for soft furnishings and art, or Furniture Packages to furnish several rooms together.

How services combine

Renovations and new builds call for different sequences

Few projects need just one service. The order they are combined in depends on whether you are working with walls that already exist or with plans that can still change. The full sequence is set out in our Design Process.

Renovating an existing home

Start with what isn’t working. Home Renovation Design and Space Planning work out what should move, open up or stay.

Then the hard-working rooms. Kitchen Design, Bathroom Design and Custom Joinery Design usually carry the most decisions.

Close with selections and paperwork. Finishes are chosen, then Design Documentation gives trades a clear brief.

Building a new home

Get in while the plans can still change. New Build Interior Design reviews layouts, window positions and joinery before anything is locked in.

Choose surfaces and light together. Colour & Material Selection and Lighting & Finishes are resolved side by side so the builder has everything they need.

Move in furnished. Furniture Packages or Furniture Selection & Styling get the finished rooms ready to live in.

Not sure where your project fits?

Before a consultation, it helps to note:

  • which room you would change first
  • whether the work is a renovation, a new build or styling only
  • a few photos of spaces and materials you like
  • where the home is, whether that’s Broadbeach, Burleigh Heads, Robina, Hope Island or elsewhere on the Gold Coast

Cost questions are covered in What Affects Interior Design Costs, and general questions in the FAQ. For anything else, use the contact form.
