New Build Interior Design Gold Coast

A new home only gets one chance to put the power points, the pantry and the pendant in exactly the right place. We start on the interiors while your house is still on paper, so every room is planned before anyone starts building.

In scope

Layout review at plan stage
Kitchen, bathroom and laundry design
Built-in joinery and storage
Lighting and electrical placement
Fixtures, finishes and selections schedules
Furniture planning for move-in

The front door, before it exists

Most interior decisions on a new build aren’t really about style. They’re about where things go, and that gets locked in early.

Builders’ standard plans are made to work for lots of different buyers. Our job is to make yours work for your household. We walk through the drawings as you’ll live in the house: where the keys land at the entry, how you see the kitchen from the living room, where the morning light reaches the bedrooms, and how the outdoor room opens off the main living space.

Walking the plans this way usually turns up small changes that are easy to make now and costly later: a door swing, a deeper pantry, a switch in a better spot, or a window moved to frame the view instead of the neighbour’s wall.

Who this service is for

Owners building a new home on the Gold Coast with a volume builder, a custom builder or an architect, who want one clear interior direction running from the selections appointment to move-in. It suits people with plans in progress, people about to face a long selections list, and people who’d rather make those choices once, in the right order.

Step 1

Plan review

We go through your floor plan room by room, looking at circulation, furniture sizes and storage. Space planning starts here.

Step 2

Design direction

One palette of colour, stone, timber and tile for the whole house, chosen with the colour and material selection service.

Step 3

Joinery & lighting

We design kitchen, vanity and robe joinery, then lay out lights and power to suit the furniture plan.

Step 4

Schedules & drawings

Selections schedules and design documentation your builder can price and build from.

New build questions

You’ll find more answers on the interior design FAQ page.

When should an interior designer get involved in a new build?

Ideally while the plans can still change, before you sign off on the electrical layout and selections. You can still bring us in later, but you’ll have fewer options.

Do you work alongside my builder or architect?

Yes. We focus on the interior and give your builder or architect the schedules and drawings, so they can price and build it accurately.

Can you help with just the selections appointment?

Yes. If your plans are already set, we can put together a clear direction for colours, surfaces and fixtures before you go in.

Which areas do you cover?

New homes across the Gold Coast, from Hope Island and Southport to Robina, Burleigh Heads and Palm Beach. See our service areas.
