About the studio

A Gold Coast interior design studio that starts with how you live

Interior Designer Gold Coast is a design-led residential studio. We work on renovations, new builds, styling and complete interior solutions for homes across the Gold Coast, Queensland — and we approach every one of them the same way: by walking the house as the people who live there do, from the front door through to the back deck.

01

Design begins with movement, not moodboards

Before we think about colour or furniture, we look at how a household actually uses its home. Where do bags land when you walk in? Which bench does everyone gather around at six o’clock? Where does the afternoon sun fall, and which rooms need to stay cool? Those answers shape the layout, and the layout shapes everything that follows.

That is why we organise our work room by room. An entry has a different job from a kitchen, and a bathroom has different demands from an outdoor room. Treating each space on its own terms — while keeping a consistent thread of materials and light through the whole house — produces interiors that feel calm, connected and easy to live in.

It also makes the work easier to plan. Some clients come to us for a single room; others need a whole home resolved from plans to styling. Starting with the rooms that matter most gives every project a clear order.

02

What guides each room

Four questions sit behind every decision we make, whether we are planning a full new build or refreshing a single living space.

How does the household move?

Circulation, storage and sightlines come first. Good space planning removes daily friction before a single finish is chosen.

Where does the daylight fall?

Gold Coast light is bright and changes quickly through the day. We place living zones, window treatments and lighting and finishes to work with the sun rather than against it.

Which materials will age well?

Timber, stone, linen and textured surfaces bring warmth and hold up to coastal living. Our colour and material selection favours palettes that stay relevant for years.

How does this room connect to the next?

Each space has its own character, but the house should read as one home. Consistent joinery details, thresholds and tones carry you from the entry to the outdoor room.

Designing for the Gold Coast

Homes here live differently. Doors stay open, the deck becomes a second living room, and salt air, humidity and strong sun test every surface. We design interiors that embrace that outdoor connection while staying refined — coastal in spirit without leaning on cliché.

We work with homeowners across the Gold Coast, including Broadbeach, Mermaid Beach, Burleigh Heads, Palm Beach, Miami, Robina, Southport, Hope Island and Surfers Paradise. Read more on our service areas page, or browse ideas in the Design Journal.

Tell us which room comes first

Most projects start with one space that isn’t working. Bring that room to a consultation and we’ll talk through layout, light and materials — and how it connects to the rest of the house. You can also look through our projects and references first, or send a general question via the contact page.
